From strikingly beautiful, all natural fresh water lakes inland to a string of spectacular white sandy beaches running east to west, the southeastern corner of North Carolina has long been one of the best kept secrets on the east coast.  

We’re smack dab in the middle between Maine and Florida.  We get our four distinct seasons, all relatively mild; jet it hardly even snows in winter and summers can’t compare with the heat in the midwest and elsewhere.  Yes, it gets humid for a while, but there’s almost always an ocean wind or a delightful lake breeze to amaze and relax you.

So, the year-round temperate climate with the extended near perfect weather of spring and fall make living here all that more enjoyable.

This is God’s country for many, but not too many, as we are still being discovered.  And that’s a good thing.  You can still find the retirement or vacation home of your dreams at a very reasonable price.  This is true before, during and after the Great Recession.
